Pivot’s annual Strategic session occurred in February 2024 intending to look inwards and also be externally aware to achieve on delivering its five-year rolling plan.

The session included the cascading of the budget to all layers of the organisation. Additionally,  the evaluation tool, “The Balanced Score Card” was explained, as this is used for compliance monitoring.  It is not all about profit, it is about making a positive enduring impact on the society in which we live and work.  The achievement of the budget starts with all the employees.

Other topics of discussion included: Investment in our human and physical assets, impact on the environment, the need for effective Succession Planning – “Where there is no succession there is no success”  – Peter Drucker. 

Staff developmental training was discussed: Competencies and the capacity of the organisation’s Human Resources are to be continually reviewed and developed – this is key in ensuring that Pivot achieves its overall success.
